(Fourth issue: 2A12 aluminum alloy)
Even today, the 2A12 brand is still a darling of aerospace. It has high strength and plasticity in both natural and artificial aging conditions, making it widely used in aircraft manufacturing. It can be processed into semi-finished products, such as thin plates, thick plates, variable cross-section plates, as well as various bars, profiles, pipes, forgings, and die forgings, etc.
Since 1957, China has successfully produced domestically produced 2A12 aluminum alloy to manufacture the main load-bearing components of various types of aircraft, such as skin, partition frames, beam wings, skeleton parts, and so on. It is also used to manufacture some non main load-bearing components.
With the development of the aviation industry, alloy products are also constantly increasing. Therefore, in order to meet the needs of new aircraft models, plates and profiles in artificial aging state, as well as some specifications of thick plates for stress relief, have been successfully developed and installed for use.
