Vietnam Takes Anti-dumping Measures Against China

The Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam recently issued a decision to take anti-dumping measures against some aluminum extruded profiles from China.
According to the decision, Vietnam imposed a 2.49% to 35.58% anti-dumping duty on Chinese aluminum extruded bars and profiles.

The survey results show that the domestic aluminum industry in Vietnam has been seriously affected. Almost all enterprises have suffered serious losses. Many production lines have been forced to stop production, and a large number of workers are unemployed.
The main reason for the above situation is that China’s aluminum dumping margin is 2.49~35.58%, and even the selling price is much lower than the cost price.

The customs tax number of the products involved is 7604.10.10,7604.10.90,7604.21.90,7604.29.10,7604.21.90.
According to statistics from the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, the number of extruded aluminum profiles imported from China by China in 2018 reached 62,000 tons, double the number in 2017.
